CASPER & ELIZABETH   by Anna Easterly Halterman

Being a gggrandaughter of Casper Easterly of Jackson co, Ill and live on the property that Casper and his wife Elizabeth Bible Easterly homesteaded-- They are buried in a cemetery that was given by
Casper next to the farm we now own.-- It has been in the Easterly family since Casper came to Ill in 1849  --- My g grandfather was Elbert S Easterly and in Casper's will he left the farm to him with the stipulation that he would take care of them as long as they lived-- I have a copy of that will-- Elizabeth could't read or write and signed it with her X.
I have enuf proof to add a supplement to my DAR membership  on the Easterly line-- but now I need proof to  get one for the Bible side-- I'm having difficulties finding proof that Elizabeth- Casper''s wife  was the oldest daughter of Philip Bible.  Elizabeth was born in Rockingham Co. Va-- but I can find no records of her birth on 3/19/1786.
I am hoping someone  (decendents of Casper) can help me find this information.--- or any the children of Philip Bible.-- -- would be glad to correspond with anyone wanting to know about  Casper and his children that came to Ill.--- Casper had 13 children, but not all came to Ill-- some relatives now live in Texas-- there is a town called Easterly Texas  and I have corresponded with an Easterly in Oregon.
My name is Anna Easterly Halterman and my e-mail address is annhalt@AOL.com  if any cares to write me.
